The Museum of North Idaho is nearing its one year anniversary in its renovated historic home at McEuen Park near Tubbs Hill; its $3 million upgrade + planned 4,500 sqft addition will fuel exhibits and programs tied to America250 celebrations.

The Coeur d’Alene Tribe and partners removed the 1935 barrier at the Sunshine Diversion Dam today to open Big Creek for improved fish passage.
The project is part of a broader plan to restore the basin’s natural resources + enhance stream habitat and riparian areas.

Specialist Travis Bucher will be promoted to detective and receive a Life Saving Award at 3 p.m. on Thursday at the District 1 Training Room, 615 W.
Wilbur Ave, recognizing his quick response during a May medical emergency.
