- ➤ A new support group for women veterans will host meet-and-greet sessions Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the media room at 1138 E. Poleline Ave. Post Falls to boost recognition for female service — sessions will be led by Renel Duvall. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ The Post Falls Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at the Post Falls Library. Community members can learn about organization goals and vote for board members and officers. Coeur d'Alene Press
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game began its annual elk calf capture project today in North Idaho using helicopters to fit about 30 calves with GPS collars. The data gathered will help wildlife experts monitor survival and movement to adjust hunting seasons and manage populations. KHQ
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ A free homebuilders expo is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31 in the Jacklin Building at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds — running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offering public access to industry leaders and homebuilding trends. Coeur d'Alene Press
