Dawn Best of Best Life Photography launches Pooch Playoffs, a photo contest fundraiser for Companions Animal Center featuring 16 local dogs and prizes from pet businesses.
The contest takes place this spring, and the local winner will advance to a national competition in April (registration is available online).

Lakeland High School senior Amanda Olson is serving as an Idaho Senate page in Boise, assisting the Commerce and Human Resources Committee during Tuesday and Thursday meetings as part of the program that began Jan.
12 (she also experienced a friendly greeting from Gov. Brad Little).
🏥 Health
Kootenai Health will host its free Heart to Heart health screening event on Friday, Feb.
20 at Hyatt Place Coeur d'Alene/Post Falls from 7:30 to 10 a.m.; registered guests must fast 8-12 hours for a 15-minute screening that checks (blood pressure, BMI, cholesterol, and glucose) and serves breakfast afterward.

Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty celebrated community spirit and honored top agents during an awards banquet at the Hagadone Event Center today — John Cordell received the Cindy Roth Spirit Award and Robert Jacobs II was given the Chad Dwyer Integrity Award.
The banquet also recognized record-breaking production and loyal team members.
