ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gas prices jumped 11 cents overnight into Tuesday, pushing pump prices above $3 in northern Idaho — according to AAA Idaho. The increase comes amid rising crude oil costs that may lead to further hikes. Coeur d'Alene Press

- ➤ Winton Elementary’s Mathletes won first place at the regional Math is Cool competition, marking their second straight win. More than 8,000 students from North Idaho and neighboring areas competed this year. KHQ

- ➤ Idaho’s Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses said contractor complaints have risen and urged residents to review a contractor’s background before hiring.
