GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, the Interstate 90 eastbound exit at Cataldo near milepost 40 will close for two weeks to allow paving work before a planned traffic shift in April — drivers will detour east to the Kingston exit and rejoin Interstate 90 westbound to return to Cataldo. Traffic will be reduced to one lane at 55 mph — a measure that ensures safety during construction. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ Starting next week, the westbound I-90 on-ramp at State Highway 41 will shift north near Central Avenue as part of the interchange project so southbound drivers will merge normally while northbound drivers must detour via 16th Avenue for a U-turn. The change will last through fall and the off-ramp will remain closed—traffic is diverted to the Seltice Way Interchange at Exit 6—while Central Avenue is closed for road widening, with the full project expected to finish in 2026.
