- ➤ Canopy Village announced Friday it will expand services for at-risk and justice-involved youth in Region 1 with a grant from the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections’ Parent Coaching and Family Partnership; the new pilot program will offer immediate family-centered support and group programming. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On March 6, Christian Center School (CCS) held its Annual Auction and raised $120,000 for the Legacy Project to build a new multi-court gymnasium as part of its campus expansion. The fundraiser brought the school closer to its $9.1 million goal and celebrated 47 years of educational service. Coeur d'Alene Press
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Natural Resources Conservation Service reported snowpack peaked early at 68% of normal and streamflows in the Panhandle basins are forecast at 48 to 91% of normal, meaning water levels may drop this spring and summer — a challenge for farmers and residents. Monitor water supplies as warm weather continues. Coeur d'Alene Press
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The BLM will begin upgrading recreation sites under the Great American Outdoors Act, starting at Huckleberry Campground (improvements April 13-24) and moving to other sites with shorter closures. The work will replace nearly 100 picnic tables, 60 fire rings and 40 barbecues for added safety. Coeur d'Alene Press
