Post Falls Splash Pads at Beck Park, Syringa Park and Tullamore Park will open to the public on Tuesday, May 27 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. — they are free to use — and will run throughout the summer.
A record turnout of veterans attended the North Idaho Veterans Stand Down resource fair yesterday at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds—112 service providers offered free haircuts, dental work, legal advice, and support programs to more than 500 veterans.
The nonprofit used donations to help fill service gaps, including aid for the county’s 2,000 homeless veterans.

The Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber urged local business leaders to vote for school district levies and a firefighters bond initiative on the May 20 ballot as measures to keep schools strong and public safety reliable.
Chamber officials say strong education and effective emergency services are essential for our growing business community.
