The Museum of North Idaho is showcasing an exhibition on trailblazing women who broke barriers in the region.

The exhibit runs through Aug. 22 at the museum located at 720 E. Young Ave. (at McEuen Park).

The North Idaho State Fair will run Aug.

21 to 30 and offer concerts, rodeo events, and family attractions. Fair spokeswoman Vanessa Brinkley said the event will feature motocross races, demolition derby, and free daily activities, promising memorable experiences for all ages in Coeur D’Alene.

AccuWeather predicts a challenging wildfire season in North Idaho as low snowpack, drought and high temperatures may lead to fewer but larger fires starting in July and August.
