  • Cara Kernodle from Post Falls started a GoFundMe campaign to cover her travel costs so she can attend the Boise trial of Bryan Kohberger, who is accused in the fatal stabbing of her daughter—a University of Idaho student—and three others (jury selection begins in late July and the trial is set to last three months).  Coeur d'Alene Press
  • A Hayden man, Matthew J. Seaton, 41, pleaded guilty in February to lewd conduct with a minor and engaged in grooming behavior that abused a child between March and October 2024—First District Judge John Cafferty sentenced him to 20 years in prison with parole eligibility after 10 years.  Coeur d'Alene Press
