- ➤ Twenty-seven cyclists on the Ability Experience cross-country ride stopped at Tesh on Wednesday for a barbecue lunch and to build connections with clients benefiting from disability programs. The ride started from Seattle and will continue to Washington, D.C. as the group raises funds—so far $413,352 toward a $600,000 goal—while promoting inclusion. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ Silverwood Theme Park donated $200K to help Lakeland High School reach its $850K goal for a new indoor fieldhouse that will host youth sports and community events. Ground will begin next spring and the facility will offer more space for student activities and local tournaments + ease crowded gym schedules. Coeur d'Alene Press

- ➤ Lake City Center in Coeur d’Alene will host the Honky Tonk Rodeo at 7 p.m. on June 20, with the Rusty Jackson Band, Dexter King + Chrissy Summering performing live country hits. Admission is $25 for adults + $18 for seniors 60 and older and $10 for kids younger than 18. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ Idaho Originals featuring Crazy Love will be performed at 5 p.m. July 10 at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library at 702 E. Front Ave.—the free event is funded by a grant from the Idaho Humanities Council. - ➤ Timberlake High School’s FFA team earned a first-place award at the Idaho FFA competition held at the University of Idaho—team members outperformed 52 teams and ranked high individually—and will represent Idaho at the 2026 national livestock judging contest in Indianapolis. Coeur d'Alene Press

- ➤ Rathdrum City Council will reconsider Hayden Homes' rezone request for the 127-acre Arestad property bordered by Boekel and Meyer roads after rejecting it last month — the council approved the motion 2—1 with one recusal and will redeliberate on Wednesday, June 25. Coeur d'Alene Press
- ➤ Burn permits for yard waste, burn barrels, and hand-piled slash piles will not be issued until further notice in the Idaho Department of Lands Mica Fire District, which covers most of Kootenai County including Post Falls. Recreational campfires in approved campgrounds remain allowed as officials monitor moderate fire danger. KXLY
