- ➤ Coeur Group will launch its Duck Derby on July 17 at Silverwood Theme Park's Lazy River to raise funds for a locker program that gives free clothing and supplies to students in need (duck prices start at $10). - ➤ Richard Embree, a motorcyclist, died after being hit by Ryan Tietsort— the suspect in a carjacking spree at State Line Village where a good Samaritan was also fatally shot before Tietsort was killed by police. KXLY

- ➤ Post Falls announced Wednesday that it would launch a new CPACE program—funded by a voluntary property tax assessment—to help commercial property owners finance long-term energy upgrades for efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation and seismic resilience. - ➤ Residents of Post Falls had an opportunity to review the city’s long-term 20-year growth plan during a workshop on Tuesday, June 17 that covered land use, infrastructure policy, and community investment.
