🎓 Education
NIC Workforce Training held a graduation ceremony on June 4 at the Schuler Performing Arts Center where over 130 apprentices representing five trades were celebrated.
The graduates received certificates, a $1,000 scholarship offer to continue their studies plus support for career advancement.
🏛️ Government
Idaho Transportation Department crews will install permanent American flag displays+ at Fourth of July Pass on I-90 near the summit to honor the historic celebration by Captain John Mullan’s crew on July 4, 1861.
The project is scheduled ahead of the Fourth of July holiday.
🏈 Sports
Local athletes showed hometown pride at Ironman 70.3 on Sunday in Coeur d’Alene, where native Chauntae Peterson became the first local female finisher and coach Chris Dohrman logged a 56-mile ride before preparing for another race in California.
