- ➤ The Tunnel to Towers Foundation announced it will pay off the mortgages for the homes of two fallen first responders from Coeur d’Alene (Battalion Chief Frank Harwood, who served 17 years, and Battalion Chief John Morrison, who served nearly 29 years) after they were killed in an ambush while fighting a brush fire on June 29. - ➤ Local fire officials updated the fire danger outlook for Post Falls today—warning residents that dry conditions may increase wildfire risks and advising them to follow local safety instructions. KXLY
