- ➤ The Salvation Army Kroc Center received a $10,000 grant from Innovia Foundation to offer one-year reduced-price youth memberships at 50% off for families with incomes at or below 225% of the federal poverty line. - ➤ Since 2021, the Pottsville Seven have worked to restore East Shoshone Park and nearly finished by adding new vault toilets near the park’s kitchen structures with a grant from the U.S. Forest Service—members plan to add playground equipment and discuss turning the park into a state park. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday, July 19, an 8-year-old was injured when a pontoon boat towing a tuber in Mica Bay on Lake Coeur d’Alene caught the child in its propeller causing deep leg lacerations that required a tourniquet — while on Wednesday a teenager was struck by a vessel propeller towing campers near Ross Point Bible Camp and taken via ground ambulance with serious but non-life-threatening injuries — according to the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.
