On Saturday, many kids in Coeur d'Alene learned business skills at Kootenai County Lemonade Day by setting up lemonade stands and donating part of their earnings to charity.

One stand, run by Jax (in honor of his late sister Jaycee), supported the Make-A-Wish Foundation for the second year.

A man died after his SUV crashed into trees on Highway 53 early Saturday at 3 a.m.—the driver was ejected from the vehicle and authorities notified his next of kin.

Post Falls Police responded Friday around 4:30 p.m. to serve a protection order at a Riverside Harbor Drive home and arrested 28-year-old Benjamin Turpin after he barricaded himself inside; the special response team later entered and booked him into Kootenai County Jail.
