Canopy Village, a nonprofit serving hundreds of local families, will hold a kickball tournament and vendor market to support its children’s residential care and family support programs.
The event is scheduled for noon on Sunday, Sept. 14 at Canfield Sports Complex—teams must have 10 to 14 players and vendor spaces and sponsorship opportunities are available.

Fire District 8 is proposing a levy to raise funds for fire service improvements.
Officials said the measure will be on the ballot soon to help meet local fire safety needs.
Veterans Press has released a directory that lists North Idaho veteran service offices to help veterans and their families apply for free benefits like disability, pension, and burial assistance.
