- ➤ The Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber is hosting the Leadership Classic Golf Tournament on Friday, Sept. 19 at the Highlands Golf Course where 36 teams of four will compete while raising funds for Chamber programs and a local nonprofit. - ➤ Rainy, cool weather on Saturday slowed the growth of the Sunset Fire in southern Bonner County and the Lightning Creek Fire near Lake Pend Oreille 9 miles north of Clark Fork—fire crews built fire lines and used aerial resources to protect structures. Officials warned that hot weather soon will increase fire activity as dry fuels remain in the forest. Coeur d'Alene Press
