Super 1 Foods is building a new 54,000 sqft store at Highway 41 and Prairie Avenue in Post Falls with expected opening by July 2027.
The store, costing about $12 million, will be twice as big as its former location at 805 E. Polston and will employ about 110 people.

Fire restrictions across Idaho panhandle have been lifted by federal, state, and tribal land managers due to recent precipitation and cooler temperatures — active fires in the northern area still require suppression efforts.

The Idaho Transportation Department announced repairs on I-90 near Coeur d'Alene starting Sept.
8 — traffic will drop to one lane per direction — and work is set to last through November.

Three top officials resigned from the Panhandle Health District in Hayden on Thursday night, and interim director Thomas Fletcher now leads the agency as it shifts focus from infectious disease prevention to chronic illness management.
The health board will ensure essential public services continue across five counties.
