The Art Spirit Gallery opens its September exhibition 'Splendor' on Saturday with a reception from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and an artist talk from 11 a.m. to noon—featuring works by six regional artists who explore nature and human craftsmanship; the exhibit runs through Sept.

Local musician Rusty Jackson has created the new show 'The History of Country Music,' which will be performed at 7 p.m. Sept.
19 at the Midge & Pepper Smock Family Theater at the Kroc Center. The show—presented by the Northwest Country Music Association and Amazing Entertainment—will take the audience on a journey from the roots to the outlaw era of country music.
🏛️ Government
Kootenai County Fire and Rescue is asking voters to approve a $6 million override levy in the upcoming November election.
Interim Chief Pete Holley said the measure—planned since March—will help the department maintain staffing and update equipment to meet growing emergency needs.
