Post Falls American Legion Post 143 received Watering Hole status on Friday, linking it with China Post 1 from Shanghai—a group formed in 1919 by American veterans.

A hunter was rescued from the woods south of Coeur d’Alene on Saturday after suffering a serious medical issue — teams from the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department, Kootenai County Fire and Rescue, and Mica Kidd Island Fire District carried him a quarter mile to an ambulance.
Today, the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber welcomed students, educators and families to a new school year and announced events including a Save Our Schools Town Hall on Sept 10 at Lake City Center, a Community Conversation on Sept 11 at North Idaho College, and a New Educator Reception on Sept 24 to support our local workforce — all planned to strengthen education and economic growth in our community.

Idaho state employee health insurance will stop covering weight loss drugs such as Wegovy, Saxenda and Zepbound on November 1—officials said the change will save between $30 million and $50 million each year while keeping drugs for diabetes treatment covered.
