- ➤ Post Falls will host a Fall Festival at Eats on Spokane Street on October 10 from noon to 9 p.m.—attendees can explore local vendors, sip wine, enjoy seasonal treats and listen to live music from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. KXLY

- ➤ Families of homicide victims are receiving support from community groups & local agencies as they come together to cope with their loss and push for safer neighborhoods. KXLY

- ➤ Lakeland High School in Rathdrum received a $25,000 prize through T-Mobile’s Fright Night 5G Lights program for renovating its football facilities with planned repairs to the stadium, improved accessibility and updated concession stands. The school will seek community votes on the Friday Night 5G Lights website until October 24 to win an extra $1 million prize. KXLY

- ➤ Kootenai County officials need funds to buy a helicopter for emergency services - they plan to use it to enhance response times across the county. Funding efforts will continue until appropriate financing is secured. KXLY
- ➤ Local firefighters began fire prevention work today in Post Falls to protect homes and public spaces. They will clear dry brush and inspect high-risk areas to help reduce fire risks+ KXLY
