Rocket, the therapy dog from the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, earned a Kindness 9-1-1 Citation for easing anxiety during crisis debriefs and mental health talks, and his handler Chaplain John McSwain said his presence brings comfort to first responders and community members—helping them feel less alone in tough times.

Post Falls will host a Fall Festival at Eats on Spokane Street on October 10 from noon to 9 p.m.—attendees can explore local vendors, sip wine, enjoy seasonal treats and listen to live music from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
