- ➤ Gabrielle Lewis, a Post Falls High School graduate, returned home and painted a new mural on the Tomlinson Sotheby’s office wall in downtown Coeur d’Alene to show local plants and animals. The project is funded by donations and helped by kids in a summer program—local officials will hold a ribbon-cutting on Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. and accept donations until Oct. 17. Coeur d'Alene Press
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ A hiring event for employers in North Idaho will occur from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at the Idaho Department of Labor office at 600 N. Thornton St.—attendees should bring a resume and dress professionally—while employers will interview candidates for roles including shop mechanics, cashiers, and registered nurses. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Heritage Health announced its new Executive Committee to steer the organization’s growth in North Idaho. The board includes Liz Montgomery as president, Paul Amador as vice president, Sarah Armstrong as secretary, and Brad Rasor as treasurer, with CEO Mike Baker praising the team's dedication and thanking the outgoing committee for their service.
