- ➤ Boaters in Post Falls must use the Q'emiln Park boat launch before it closes on November 10—weather and falling water levels require a seasonal shutdown—and it will reopen in late spring or early summer when dam operations allow. KXLY
- ➤ A house (2684 W. Dawn Ave. in Post Falls) has set up a spooktacular display with giant skeletons and ghouls that tower over the property, and the homeowner said the house will welcome trick-or-treaters with (full-size candy bars) on Halloween night. Coeur d'Alene Press

- ➤ Gynii Gilliam, president of the local economic nonprofit, will retire Friday after over a decade of forming strong partnerships and creating jobs in the community.
