Silverwood is set to be sold to a new owner; officials said more details about the buyer and the transaction will be shared soon — the change is expected to impact future park operations.

Lake health advocates said that wakesurfing on Hayden Lake stirred nutrients from the lakebed and increased algae growth—local groups met to discuss steps like public education and stronger enforcement to cut wake damage.
The Hayden Lake Watershed Association is working with the sheriff’s office and planning an app to help report wakes.
