This collaboration offers essential aid to community members and strengthens long-term support efforts.
Mining in Pine Creek helped grow the Silver Valley after lead-silver ore was found in 1886—more than a dozen mines and mills worked there until rising costs and low metal prices forced closures by the 1960s.
The mining work left behind metal-tainted waste in the creek that prompted federal cleanup efforts.
CDA On Ice will host a free Skate Night with the Spokane Chiefs on Monday, Dec.
