Grocery Outlet opened its store Thursday morning at 2588 N.

Highway 41 in Post Falls after a ribbon cutting that drew hundreds of shoppers and included a $1,000 donation to TAILS Foundation. The new outlet offers discount groceries, home goods, pet supplies and seasonal decor to give locals more choices.

The Music Conservatory of Coeur d’Alene will host three events that take listeners on international music journeys; a reception with Latin American music, food and wine will begin at 5:30 p.m. (April 5) at the conservatory followed by a piano concert at the Kroc Center Theater.

The Idaho Transportation Department will begin resurfacing an eight mile section of I-90 between Wolf Lodge and Fourth of July Pass next week to improve road safety and extend the roadway's life.

The project will last two years and will reduce traffic to one lane per direction with lower speed limits.
