Young entrepreneurs will host lemonade stands Saturday in Kootenai County at locations including Lemon Squeeze (3801 N.
Player Drive), JL Lemonade (4045 N. Government Way) and MNM Lemonade Squad (2818 N. Government Way). Some kids plan to donate part of their sales to local groups such as the Red and Blue Foundation and Make-A-Wish Idaho to learn business skills and support the community.
The Coeur d'Alene Fire Department said firefighter Dave Tysdal, who was shot in an ambush near Canfield Mountain last month, is set for his fourth surgery at a Colorado rehab hospital—Idaho senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch have introduced a bill to make assaulting first responders a federal crime after the attacker killed two other firefighters.
Catch Me If You Can: The Musical, inspired by the true story of Frank Abagnale Jr., will open at 7:30 p.m. Aug.
1 at the Midge and Pepper Smock Family Theatre at the Kroc — the show will run through Aug. 10.
The colorful Art on the Green festival—marking its 57th year—will take place from Aug.
1 to Aug. 3 on North Idaho College grounds. The event will feature a diverse lineup of music performances on multiple stages for local and visiting audiences.
The Museum of North Idaho has opened a new exhibit titled Adventure Awaits: Outdoor Recreation in North Idaho featuring a historic half-seat western saddle donated by Paul Tullener and once owned by local figure Charles Westley Wood.
Visitors can see the exhibit today (11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday) and learn about the region's outdoor history.
On Monday, the Schuler Performing Arts Center at North Idaho College hosted Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre’s Princess Performance of Anastasia: The Musical for families dressed in royal attire.
Businesswoman Rita Case sponsored the event—giving free tickets so that families could enjoy live theater together.
