The Idaho Transportation Department and Idaho State Historical Society will install updated highway markers and QR codes in North Idaho’s District 1 by the end of the year—without affecting traffic—and update the remaining markers in phases through 2027.

Visit Idaho is also developing a QR code-connected app to provide visitors with historical details and information on nearby amenities.
